TunisiaTourismTV - The Aleppo pine nut cream is a typically Tunisian dessert called “assida zgougou”. This cream pudding has a characteristic taste and a dark colour, and is traditionally served to celebrate Mawlid, the birthday of the Prophet.
The cream is prepared with crushed seeds of Aleppo pine and flour, diluted with water and screened, then cooked over low heat.
